Department of Physics & Astrophysics, University of Delhi is situated in the main
campus of the University of Delhi in North Delhi (adjacent to the
VC's office).
BY
TRAIN
: The
north campus is about ~10 kms from the New Delhi Railway station.
Those participants coming from train should exit on the Ajmeri Gate side
( towards Platform no. 12 )
of the New Delhi Railway Station. They can take an auto-rickshaw or taxi
for the Mall Road, Delhi University. The two guest houses of the DU are located on
the University Road, off the Mall Road. People with smaller luggage (upto 15
Kg) are advised to take Metro. The Metro station is located just outside
the platform no. 12 of the Railway station (Ajmeri gate side). Please take the yellow line
to "Vishwavidyalaya stop". The metro terminates at the
Vishwavidyalaya stop. The fare from New Delhi railway station is Rs. 11.
Please carry exact change. From the Vishwavidyalaya stop the
guest houses are somewhere between 700m to 1Km. Cycle-Rickshaw costs
~Rs. 10. One can also comfortably walk in 5-10 minutes.

: The domestic airport is
about 25 Kms
from the North campus. By taxi it takes about 45 to 60 minutes.
There is a prepaid taxi counter inside the airport arrival terminal (on your left - just before the exit). The pre-paid taxi-fare to the University is approximately Rs. 250.
